Baghat Gymkhana thrashed Parimpora XI and won the 7th Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament played at Islamia College Srinagar.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was the chief guest on the occasion and witnessed the final match. Overall 32 teams participated in the tournament.
Baghat Gymkhana won the toss and elected to bat first. It set a modest target of 116 runs for Parimpora XI.
Parimpora XI scored 87 runs and Baghat Gymkhana won the match by 29 runs to lift the trophy.
Irfan was adjudged man of the match while Umar Malik was given man of the series award.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq lauded the efforts of Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament organizing committee for conducting the tournament.
A cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a trophy was presented to the winning team while the runner up team was given a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 20,000.
Principal Islamia College Dr Muzzafar Khan, Awami Action Committee Youth President Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi, AAC senior Leader Advocate Sheikh Yasir Rouf Dalal, Advocate Aijaz Dhar, Bilal Bashir Bhat, members of organizing committee S. Manzoor, Sahil Ahmad War, Tanvir Sidiq, Adil Umar, Aqib Sidiq, Adil Amin, Sonu were also present on the occasion.
